On 5 June 2025, Le Minh Tri, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam, led a delegation from the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam to visit the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), accompanied by Shen Liang, Vice President of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic Of China, and Nguyen Viet Dung, Consul General of Vietnam in Guangzhou.
Liu Xiaochun, President of SCIA, provided an overview of the innovative development of international arbitration in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone since China's reform and opening up, as well as SCIA's exploration and practice in serving and promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and Vietnam.
Le Minh Tri praised SCIA as a global leader in arbitration, emerging from China's reform and opening up. He expressed his hope to strengthen collaboration with SCIA in order to better support bilateral trade and investment, thus creating a more favorable business environment.
He also appreciated SCIA's choice of the lotus flower as its symbol, as it is also Vietnam's national flower. He emphasized the need to modernize and internationalize Vietnam's arbitration system, drawing inspiration from the experience of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
Yu Xiaoyu, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic Of China, Zhao Juhua, President of the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, and Xi Xiangyang, General Counsel of SCIA, and other representatives from the Guangdong High People's Court and the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court participated in the discussions.
