Belarusian Study Group Visits SCIA for Intellectual Property Arbitration Research

A study group led by Aliaksandr ZAYATS, Deputy Director General of Belarus's National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP), visited the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) on 12 June 2025 for intellectual property arbitration research.

Wang Yuanyuan, Deputy Director of China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Arbitration Center, highlighted SCIA's over 40 years of innovative development in international arbitration within the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. She shared the SCIA's achievements in resolving intellectual property disputes since its establishment in 2015 through presenting typical cases and outcomes.

Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as innovative practices of the unilateral intellectual property commitment letters by the China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Arbitration Center and the enforcement of arbitral awards.

Aliaksandr ZAYATS expressed high praise for the diversified approaches and accomplishments of the China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Arbitration Center in resolving intellectual property disputes. He emphasized his intention to learn from the center's experience to advance the development of intellectual property arbitration in Belarus. He also highlighted the collaboration to better serve both countries' intellectual property protection and jointly promote the technological innovation in businesses. Dong Lianhe, Vice President of the SCIA, and Aliaksandr ZAYATS conveyed a vision of deepening understanding and strengthening cooperation during their discussions.
