From 28 November to 12 December 2025, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (also known as the South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, GBA International Arbitration Center, hereinafter referred to as the SCIA) and Shenzhen Lawyers Association jointly held "SCIA & Shenzhen Lawyers Association Training on International Commercial Arbitration."

This training program featured 10 lectures delivered by instructors, including experts, scholars, SCIA arbitrators, and heads of operational departments, covering all aspects and stages of international commercial arbitration.

It highlighted innovative course content, including theoretical instruction, case analysis, group discussions, and practical simulations. Conducted in both Chinese and English, the program provided valuable guidance for participating lawyers engaged in international dispute resolution practice. Forty-six lawyers completed the program on 12 December, with ten of them receiving the title of "Outstanding Trainee" for their exceptional performance.

Xi Xiangyang, General Counsel of the SCIA, gave a lecture on "The Practice and Development Trends of Judicial Review in International Commercial Arbitration."

Huang Guoyong, Assistant President and Director of International Cooperation and Development Department of the SCIA, gave a lecture on "Designing and Drafting International Commercial Arbitration Clauses."

Chen Xin, Director of the Case Filing and Consultation Department of the SCIA, delivered a lecture on "Arbitration Jurisdiction and Key Considerations for Filing International Arbitration Cases."

Fan Qijuan, Director of Research Department of the SCIA, lectured on "Applying SCIA Arbitration Rules in Handling International Arbitration Cases."

Wang Hao, Deputy Director of Research Department of the SCIA, lectured on "Guidelines for Cross-border Dispute Resolution Practices."

Christopher To, SC, of GILT CHAMBERS and SCIA Arbitrator, presented a lecture titled "Practical Approaches to Pleadings Writing in International Arbitration."

Du Huanfang, Dean of the Academy for the Foreign-Related Rule of Renmin University of China and SCIA Arbitrator, lectured on "Revision Background and Key Contents of the New Arbitration Law."

Liu Jing, Senior Counsel at Hui Zhong Law Firm and SCIA Arbitrator, delivered a lecture on "Key Considerations on Lawyers Representing Clients in International Arbitration: An Arbitrator's Perspective."

Li Lan, Senior Partner at Jincheng Tongda & Neal Law Firm (Shenzhen) and SCIA Arbitrator, lectured on "The Role of Chinese Lawyers in International Arbitration and Practical Insights."
