From 30 June to 4 July, 2025, the "Kuala Lumpur ADR Week 2025" was held in Malaysia, co-hosted by L2 i-CON International and Legal Plus, with support from the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA). The event centered on innovative practices and sustainable development in diverse dispute resolution mechanisms.
Over 500 representatives from the legal and business sectors, as well as arbitration institutions from Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, the Middle East, Central Asia and other ASEAN member states participated the event.
At the flagship event "Construction Claims & ADR Conference" held on June 30 2025, Prof. Peter Malanczuk, Council Member of the SCIA, participated in a panel discussion titled "Behind the Award: Perspectives from the Tribunal". Drawing on his extensive experience in international arbitration, Prof. Malanczuk discussed the value of arbitrators' diverse legal backgrounds, procedural considerations in construction disputes, and issues related to the enforcement of arbitral awards in foreign jurisdictions. He also shared the innovations and practices of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone's international arbitration institutions in resolving construction disputes, arbitration rules, and diverse dispute resolution methods.
