From 14 September to 17 September 2025, the 2025 Chinese-Speaking Lawyers Convention (China·Shenzhen), with the support of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), was held in Qianhai, Shenzhen. As one of the sub-forums, SCIA hosted a seminar titled "Cross-Border Arbitration for Chinese Enterprises and the Role of Chinese-Speaking Lawyers" on the afternoon of 15 September at the SCIA Tower in Qianhai.
SCIA arbitrators and Chinese-speaking lawyers from Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and Brazil shared insights into legal risk prevention and dispute resolution for Chinese enterprises investing overseas. Nearly 100 Chinese-speaking lawyers from 20 countries and regions, including Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, and the United States, participated in the exchange.

Chang Aik Ming, Director of Y.M. Cheng & Co. (Malaysia), spoke on "New Investment Trends in Malaysia and the Practical Experience of Chinese-Speaking Lawyers Serving Chinese Enterprises Going Global".
Zhou Daohong, Chief Legal Counsel for Chinese Clients at Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (Indonesia) in Indonesia, spoke on "Legal Practice for Chinese Enterprises Entering Indonesia and the Role of Chinese-Speaking Lawyers".
Li Heng, Legal Consultant and Partner of Sulaiman AlNaqbi Advocates and Legal Consultants, spoke on "Business Environment in the UAE and the Role of Chinese-Speaking Lawyers".
Zhang Jun, Partner of Demarest (Brazil), spoke on "Legal Practices for Chinese Enterprises Entering Latin America and Practical Experience of Chinese-Speaking Lawyers".
