On 2 February 2026, Dr. Liu Xiaochun, President of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) and Executive Chairman of the South China International Arbitration Center (HK) (SCIAHK), led an SCIA delegation on a visit to Abu Dhabi's International Financial Centre, Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). During the visit, the delegation met with Ms. Linda Fitz-Alan, Registrar and Chief Executive of ADGM Courts, and other representatives, and toured ADGM's court and hearing facilities.

Established in 2015, ADGM is an international financial free zone located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. The legal framework of ADGM is based on English common law and features a court system comprising a Court of First Instance and a Court of Appeal, with senior judges drawn from common law jurisdictions. ADGM is also home to the Dispute Resolution Hearing Centre (DRHC), which provides support for the resolution of international commercial disputes.
