From 1 to 5 February 2026, Riyadh International Dispute Week 2026 (RIDW 2026) was held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. As the largest international arbitration event in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, RIDW2026 was supported by the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), with international arbitration experts from over 120 countries in attendance.

On 4 February, Dr. Liu Xiaochun, President of the SCIA, and Sir William Blair, Council Member of the SCIA, Former Judge of the High Court of England and Wales and Independent Arbitrator at 3VB Chambers London, led the SCIA delegation to attend the SCCA International Conference and the event commemorating the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). During the conference, the SCIA delegation engaged in exchanges with international arbitration experts from various countries and international organizations, introducing the innovative development of China’s Arbitration Law and SCIA Arbitration Rules, while gaining insights into the latest developments of international arbitration worldwide, particularly in the MENA region. SCIA arbitrators from Asia, Europe, and Africa also participated in the conference.

During their visit to Riyadh, the SCIA delegation also paid visits to Chinese-funded enterprises and relevant law firms based in the city.
